1) December 9-13, 2019 session "GC056 - mountain weather and climate in a warmer world" will be held at the autumn meeting of the American Geophysical Union (AGU) 2019 in San Francisco (USA). The purpose of the Session is to better understand the weather and climate processes and patterns of climate change in mountains, as well as their implications for high and low-lying areas. Contributions can be made on the AGU 2019 website (En). Abstract submission deadline: 31 July 2019 23:59 EDT/03: 59 +1 GMT.
2) In Kamchatka, it is planned to create a new tourist cluster “Three volcanoes”: an observation deck on a volcano, a geological Park and environmental camps. The potential attendance is more than 400 thousand tourists per year, with a balance between the interests of the investor and the preservation of the ecological system. 3) On 15 July 2019, the University of Central Asia (UCA) launched a training programme on natural resource management for teachers and researchers from the universities of the Afghan provinces of Badakhshan and Bamyan, Khorog State University (Tajikistan) and the Aga Khan Foundation in Afghanistan.
